I want to play but am worried about COVID-19. What makes Activate a safe experience? >

The health and safety of our guests and team members is our No. 1 priority. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our stores. As we navigate this evolving situation we want to share the sanitation policies in place, additional measures we’re taking and how we’re protecting the Activate customers & team members.

We are closely monitoring news, information and resources related to COVID-19 and are adhering to CDC recommendations for how to best plan, prepare and respond to the virus. Our team sanitizes our game rooms and traffic areas with alcohol-based, anti-bacterial solutions multiple times a day. In response to the virus, we have increased the frequency and thoroughness of our already meticulous cleaning procedures, with special attention to high-touch surfaces and objects.

Guests can book games and sign their waivers online, minimizing their physical contact with strangers.

Our team members are trained to remain home at the first sign of any illness and we are reinforcing these health and illness policies. We are taking every measure in our power to protect the community that we are so grateful to be a part of and want to be transparent in our proactive efforts to preventing the spread of this virus in our Activate facility.

Everyone who walks through our doors is important to us, from our general managers and team members, to our guests, friends and neighbors. We are committed to keeping our facility clean, safe and open for the community we have the privilege to serve.

What is Activate? >

Activate offers high-tech games that test your team’s physical and mental agility across a wide variety of real-life challenges. Once inside, you and your team choose from hundreds of combinations of games and difficulty levels, each lasting one to three minutes. Your electronic wristband tracks your score and progress throughout your experience making Activate perfect for a casual night out or intense competition.

What is the cost? >

The cost is $25 plus tax per player.

A credit card is required to place the deposit for your booking: MasterCard, Visa, Visa Debit or American Express are accepted. You may pay with debit, credit card, or cash on the day of the event.

How many players can I bring? >

A minimum group of 3 people is needed to play. Games are played in groups of 3-5, but if you have 6 or more people, no problem! You can split into smaller groups and switch players at any time once in the gaming area.

At this time, we do not offer a program that would match groups of less than 3 with other players.

How long is the experience? >

Play time is 75 minutes long, but we do ask that guests arrive 10-15 minutes in advance to check in.

Do I have to book in advance? >

Walk ins are welcome; however, it is strongly recommended that you book an appointment ahead of time as we cannot guarantee we will have an opening available if you just drop in.

How do I book? >

Booking is available both online and over the phone. A deposit of $25 plus tax is required to book. We can also take walk-ins, but recommend booking in advance as we can not guarantee an immediate game time.

What is the age requirement to play? >

The games have been designed for adults, and therefore will be physically and mentally challenging for anybody under the age of 10. Activate requires a paid adult to be in the games at all times with children 10 years old and younger (this rule does not apply to school groups). For children between the ages of 11-13, an adult must be present at the facility throughout the entire gaming experience.

Please note, the paid adult counts towards your team of 3-5. If your group exceeds the size limit, you will be asked to split into smaller groups and an additional adult will be required in each grouping.

How do I apply my promotion? >

Your promotion can be applied online, over the phone, or upon arrival. Please note that your promotion will not apply to the standard deposit.

Do you sell Gift Cards? >

Gift vouchers are available for purchase online, over the phone, or at the location. The voucher is in the form of a code. If you prefer a physical item to gift, please stop by our location for a card.

Please note, all standard booking taxes will apply as your gift voucher acts as a pre-paid pass.

Do you have a birthday package? >

Have an unforgettable birthday party at Activate! At this time, we do not offer a birthday party package other than the standard experience. If you are celebrating a birthday, please call us and press 1 to book!

Please keep in mind that a paid adult is required to go into the rooms with all kids 10 years old and younger. Activate does not allow any outside food or drinks in the facility (with the exception of water bottles in the lobby).

Can I play if I have a pre-existing condition? >

As an active gaming experience, Activate requires players to run, jump, climb, crawl and throw in many of our game rooms. In order to create a more engaging experience for our guests, we have added some props meant to create a feeling of adrenaline and excitement, such as flashing lights, loud music, and fog.

While all players are welcome to play at Activate, we ask that those with pre-existing health conditions use caution, and check with your medical professional before attending when necessary.

We are more than happy to walk you through our facility at anytime during our store hours before you book to find out if you are able to play at Activate. Please be advised most games at Activate involve differentiating colours of the same family and vibrancy.

Can I bring my large group here? >

Activate is available to accommodate up to 15 people per time slot, however, the games must be played in teams of 3-5 players. Once you are in the gaming area, you are welcome to rearrange your teams at any point!

What is your cancellation policy? >

If the booking is cancelled more than 24 hours in advance, your deposit is refundable. In the case of extreme weather, a booking can be cancelled, and the deposit will be kept on file to be used at a later date.

What should I wear? >

As our name indicates, Activate is an active experience. We suggest wearing clothes that you feel comfortable running, jumping, crawling, and climbing in. Clean and dry flat-footed shoes are required (running shoes recommended). People wearing heels, open toed shoes, or sandals will NOT be allowed to participate.

Do I need to book for a specific room? >

You do not need to book a specific room. Your admission gives you access to our full facility. Feel free to spend your 75 minutes in as many or as few rooms as you would like.
